However, it could be a problem if this issue isn't given priority. Healthcare and the war in Iraq deserve their spot on the top of Obama's to-do list, but I hope that he will realize that this money, if put to good use, could really initiate a change in our view of energy efficiency. This is completely necessary, because Colorado's entire economy is powered by skiing, and if there isn't any snow left in 20 years, then we will be in a much bigger crisis than we are now.

Ski industry’s holiday wish list for Obama, new Congress RESPONSE
I am very glad that I found an article that doesn't just talk about what ski areas are doing to prevent climate change. Colorado ski company execs really want to be given some priority from Barack Obama, because they feel that this is a vital issue. I now realize that skiing and other outdoor sports almost completely power Colorado's economy, much the way that tourism powers Maine's economy. I definitely believe that if Colorado can receive the money to reduce fuel emissions, the rest if the country will follow. I think that if they make a valid point to the new president, he is sure to give them enough money to improve their energy efficiency.
Ski industry’s holiday wish list for Obama, new Congress
This article talks about how Colorado's politicians and ski resort owners are rallying to put mandatory carbon dioxide caps to limit our greenhouse gas emissions at the top of Obama's to-do list. They feel that since skiing in Colorado is a $4 billion a year industry, helping the country reduce their carbon emissions to save snow should be a top priority. These politicians realize that Obama has a very long to-do list. '"Obviously this administration has a lot on it's plate" said Melanie Mills, president of the industry lobbying group Colorado Ski Country USA'. These people hope that if Obama recognizes their effort, it will spark a nationwide reform of clean energy policies.
